About our classes.

We view our classes as a form of mutual aid by sharing knowledge, skills, and resources to strengthen and support our community. We post our class schedule at the beginning of every month on Instagram or you can follow us on Eventbrite to receive notifications when new classes and events go live. Our Gundamentals 2.0 and 3.0 classes are the only ones that require a donation, though contributions are welcome for any class, and all funds go directly toward our People’s Hoagie Campaign.

Firearm Classes

Intro to ownership

For those casually familiar or nervous around firearms, this class is for you. We aim to create a comfortable and safe learning environment to people who might not feel welcome in more “traditional” gun culture spaces.

Our hope is that by the end of the class, you will feel empowered to make your own decision on whether firearm ownership is for you.

concealed carry

If you’re interested in concealed carrying or being more proficient with a handgun, this class is for you.

We cover alternative means of self defense, an overview de-escalation techniques, legality of concealed carrying, and use replica firearms to practice dry fire techniques you can do at home.

aR15 Fundamentals

For people with some experience and want a deeper, practical understanding of the AR-15 beyond the basics. The course covers gear selection and setup, rifle function and manual of arms, malfunction clearing, maintenance, handling, stance, accuracy, zeroing, and effective use of common optics.

Whether you already own an AR-15 or plan to get one, this class bridges the gap between casual shooting and proficiency.

Medical and De-Escalation Classes

bLEEDING CONTROL

This class covers first aid interventions as it applies to severe bleeding. We cover scene safety, injury assessment, and basic bleeding control techniques like direct pressure and tourniquet application. This class currently doesn’t provide a certification but is meant to provide essential information to as many people as possible.

CPR & First Aid

This class provides instruction on hands-only CPR and AED use, skills that anybody can use to save the life of somebody in cardiac arrest. There will also be a brief overview of basic first aid principles.

De-Escalation

This de-escalation training focuses on early identification of agitation and proactive intervention before situations intensify. Participants learn practical conflict resolution skills, including negotiation, mediation, empathy, respectful use of personal space, and setting clear boundaries. Emphasis is placed on maintaining calmness and emotional control to reduce tension and create safer, more productive interactions

Chemical Weapons Exposure

In this class, we cover how to treat people who have been exposed by common types of chemical weapons deployed by police at protests.
